Abyss & Apex recently published my poem “Relapse” in Issue 95, 3rd Quarter 2025, and I’m happy to share it with you. I reached into personal experience and grabbed a scientific metaphor to craft this poem. It took a few turns on its way to a finish, but I’m pleased with where it landed. I’m grateful to poetry editor John Mannone, a poet (and scientist) I greatly respect, for his feedback and acceptance. (Check out his latest chapbook, Coffee Poems!)
I’m not only thrilled my poem was published, but also that is included among works from poets around the world. You can find “Relapse” here in visual and audio form, along with some background on it. I invite you to peruse the entire issue.
I’m also excited to share some photography news I just received! As of this writing I can tell you at least one piece among my several photo submissions will appear in print later this year. (You can find some of my photography on this website and here.)
