I’m excited to share that Emerald Coast Review XXIII, the literary anthology of Emerald Coast Writers, is now available! Having spent three decades in northwest Florida, I’m thrilled my work appears in this regional anthology. (Sadly, a series of conflicts prevented my attendance at the launch event on October 25.) The cover is beautiful, featuring Lisa Joy Newcomb’s image “Climate Shift.” The book is also masterfully edited, flowing themes across an eclectic collection of 303 pages. I can’t wait to dive into it!

My included poems range from a common domestic experience to insight-sparking air travel to engineering humans for space. While vastly different in topic, each explore what it means to be human. My photographs in Emerald Coast Review offer an artistic glimpse of the coast’s 100-year snowfall of late January 2025.

Among Friends

I’m tickled to share these pages with my fellow Florida State Poets Association (FSPA) Northwest Florida Chapter friends Lori Zavada, Claire Massey, Andrea Jones Walker, Joanne Blakley, Carolyn Joyce Tokson, Jessica Temple, Mary Gutierrez; Alabama State Poetry Society friends Jessica Jones and Jessica Temple; and other Emerald Coast writers and artists.

Where to Purchase

Emerald Coast Review XXIII is available on Amazon in paperback format. The anthology features more than 300 pages. In these pages, 78 writers, artists, and photographers offer an eclectic collection of compelling written works and art brimming with “imagination and passion.”

More Poetry

Want to explore more of my work? You can find some here, including a link to SoundCloud, where I’m slowly populating published poems in audio format.

Want to explore more poets? Check out the Poetry Society of Tennessee bookstore here and see why we say poetry is alive in Tennessee. If you’re looking for more poetry (and stories) from Florida-based poets, try Awake in the Sacred Night, a collaboration of my pals Lori Zavada and Claire Masey, a collection that embraces “the mystical and mundane.”
