I’m excited to share that my two of my poems have been published in Black Moon Magazine, Issue 3! I’m grateful to Black Moon Magazine founders and editors Sam Campbell and Matthew Gilbert for believing in my work.

Familiar Faces

Fellow Poetry Society of Tennessee Northeast chapter members and apt poets Rose Klix and Ben Weakley also have poems in this issue! These two lovely people were among the first poets I met here in Tennessee and have been incredibly supportive. I love that we all appear in this issue.

Exploring New Poetic Territory

As a writer, I enjoy exploring or pushing boundaries as much as I like working within the sometimes maddening constraints of formal form. It was fun stretching into new poetic territory with [un]mask[ed] and Unchurched. They look and feel quite different from the more traditional poetry I’ve written:

• In [un]mask[ed] I wanted to visually capture what a physical mask looks like when worn and taken off while sharing more than one line of thought about masks and mindsets.
• In Unchurched, the logical construct of computer programming language became a way to address a spiritual question.
