I’m pleased to share that my poem, “While I Visit an Art Gallery, Archaeologists Discover What May be the Oldest Artwork in the World” has been published in the 2021-2022 edition of Poetry Society of Tennessee’s (PST) anthology Tennessee Voices. This poem was sparked by a chance encounter with an Art World article about a drawing of a pig from many years ago found in a cave, but it explores what art really means to us humans: why we are so drawn to it, why it is timeless, and why it matters.
The anthology includes first place poems from a year’s worth of contests along with a summary of winners plus some bonus poems from past PST Poet Laureates. Learn more or buy a copy.
